Dog training classes with Points of Wisdom Dog Training

Teach your puppy manners during his critical learning period! We will teach you and your puppy the principles of Puppy Start Right such as house training, food bowl manners and prevention of resource guarding, targeting, leash walking and what to do with all that biting and jumping! By the end of 6 weeks, your puppy will have the opportunity to earn his title as an AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy! This class is for puppies 8-16 weeks of age who have had their first round of puppy shots at least one week prior to start of class.

The American Veterinary Society of Animal Behavior's (AVSAB) position on puppy socialization states: "The primary and most important time for puppy socialization is the first three months of life. During this time puppies should be exposed to as many new people, animals, stimuli and environments as can be achieved safely and without causing overstimulation manifested as excessive fear, withdrawal or avoidance behavior. For this reason, the American Veterinary Society of Animal Behavior believes that it should be the standard of care for puppies to receive such socialization before they are fully vaccinated."

Who doesn't want a well-behaved dog? Teach your dog the basics and how to be a model citizen. This class is open to dogs of all ages who haven't had much training in the past or for dogs who need a refresher.

AKC Tricks all levels! Teach your dog to high five, roll over, bow, spin, and more! Tricks class strengthens the bond between you and your dog. Plus, it's great fun!

Sundays 12pm

$250 / 6 weeks

This class is for all dogs who have basic manners under their belt. We will cover the 3-Ds of training: distractions, distance, and duration. Prerequisite of manners class and clicker training is required.

Saturdays 12:30 pm

$250/6-week class

Learn the skills necessary for desensitization and counter conditioning. Permission from Jen required. Please call for more information.
